Inspiring the next generation, Greenwin Cares was thrilled to support the Junior Achievement Central Ontario Careers Unlimited event.
The event brought together 250 high school students from eight local schools in Brampton, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to prepare for the future. Students learned from inspirational speakers, participated in small group discussions with passionate career mentors, and explored the opportunities available as they pursue their education and career goals. The day included engaging speakers, a career fair, skill-building workshops, and mentor roundtable sessions.
Team Greenwin was actively involved with Ossana B., Manager, Community Engagement, Greenwin, volunteering as a mentor, while Melissa G., Community Project Specialist, Greenwin Cares, and Lily W., Director, Greenwin Cares, volunteered and set up a Greenwin booth at the career fair. By sharing their passion, personal journeys, and professional insights, they helped spark curiosity, build confidence, and guide students on a stronger path for their futures.
The feedback from students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive:
“My favourite part of the learning is the discussions with the mentor. I enjoyed learning first-hand from them and getting insights on the journey.”
“Talking to representatives & learning more about how to be successful in the future.”
“The highlight was going around the career fair, and learning about many different opportunities, jobs, and programs.”
“Thank you to the mentors who answered all our career and university questions, we learned so much!”
At Greenwin, we are proud to support initiatives that empower young people and help them navigate their educational and career journeys.
