Through the Northern Birthday Box Project, Greenwin Cares supports children living in remote northern communities—many of them Indigenous—by helping bring birthday celebrations to life where access to party supplies and special treats can be limited.

Today, we are excited to celebrate Tulurialik, who is turning 7 on May 7.

Tulurialik is from Taloyoak (also known as Talurjuaq), formerly called Spence Bay until July 1, 1992. Located on the Boothia Peninsula in the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut, Canada, the community sits along Spence Bay and is accessible only by air and annual sealift.

For her birthday, Tulurialik has chosen a K-Pop Demon Hunters–themed celebration. Her birthday box is filled with chocolates, candies, cake mix, icing, and festive decorations to help make her special day even more memorable.

The Northern Birthday Box Project is about more than sending gifts—it’s about creating meaningful moments, recognizing each child’s birthday, and helping foster a sense of connection and community. Regardless of distance, every child deserves to feel celebrated on their special day.

Spreading joy, one celebration at a time.
