Greenwin Cares was thrilled to join our partners at Rogers, Tennis Canada, Philpott Children’s Tennis, Residential Property Management Services and the San Romanoway Revitalization Association last week for the ground breaking of The Rogers Dome over The Courts at San Romanoway operated by Philpott Children's Tennis.

Together, with the support of The Honourable Judy A. Sgro, Councillor Anthony Perruzza, Councillor James Pasternak, and MPP Tom Rakocevic, we are one step closer to providing year-round sports and recreational opportunities for the community with an additional 200 hours of court time per week during the winter months.

This dome is the first groundbreaking of Tennis Canada’s Year-Round Community Tennis Courts Program presented by Rogers. With the aim of building 160 new year-round courts at up to 30 facilities across Canada by 2029, this program will make year-round tennis a reality for thousands of Canadians across the country, increasing accessibility to the sport and helping to foster increased participation among youth.

The dome at San Romanoway will have a significant impact on the community, providing a safe and accessible space for people, especially the youth, to engage in physical activity and build confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills.

At Greenwin Cares, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality sports and recreational facilities, and we are committed to making this a reality for the San Romanoway community. We look forward to the completion of this project and the positive impact it will have on the lives of those in our community.
