Greenwin Cares is proud to support the San Romanoway Revitalization Association (SRRA) and the meaningful work they do to create positive opportunities for local youth.
After participating in the CP24 CHUM FM Christmas in July initiative, the CP24 team was inspired to learn more about Greenwin’s social programming and visited SRRA to see our partnership in action.
SRRA’s summer camp gives local youth opportunities to learn, connect and stay active throughout the summer. Campers take part in tennis lessons, music programming, trips, and a variety of recreational and educational activities, along with meals throughout the day.
Through our partnership with SRRA, Greenwin Cares is proud to support programming that creates opportunities for young people to build skills, discover new interests and connect with their community.
The CP24 visit highlighted the impact of this partnership and provided an opportunity to showcase the people and programs behind this important work. Jenn G., Vice President, Affordable Housing & Social Impact at Greenwin, shared more about Greenwin Cares’ social impact initiatives, while Melissa G., Community Project Specialist at Greenwin Cares, highlighted the partnership with SRRA and the positive impact of the summer camp on local youth.

We were also excited to share plans for a year-round tennis bubble, a collaboration between Tennis Canada, Doug Philpott Inner City Children’s Tennis, Greenwin and CAPREIT. The bubble will give local kids year-round access to tennis and free lessons. Fundraising is still underway. If you’d like to help bring this project to life, please reach out!
