Greenwin Inc. and our service provider Turtle Island Recycling are committed to the protection of the environment and are launching the next stage towards an improved diversion rate. We encourage and provide the opportunity for our tenants and visitors at 365 Bloor St. E. to recycle and divert as much waste as possible by providing our new three stream recycling stations; stations will contain streams each for paper, food waste and a multi-material bin to collect plastic, metal and glass containers. These stations will be labeled, and provided to Tenants, to be placed in office and kitchen areas. All recyclable materials should be placed in the appropriate recycling containers. Staff will be asked to sort their materials as per the following streams:

1.       PAPER: office paper, newsprint etc. (cardboard to be set aside the receptacles for collection
2.       GLASS, PLASTIC, CANS: all plastic, metal or glass containers
3.       ORGANICS: food scraps, tissue, biodegradable containers

All employees will also be provided with a mini-bin (blue bin for paper) for use at your desk. Most of you will already have a blue bin.

o        All organic food waste , plastics, cans and bottles should be placed in the appropriate containers in the kitchen area
o        All other waste can continue to be placed in containers, at your desks (not blue bin)

On June 15, 2011, Turtle Island Recycling visited the building and set-up a booth in the lobby to answer any questions tenants had.

Lastly, it is very important to work together as a team. We encourage everyone to actively participate in our company’s recycling program. Recycling has many benefits to our health, the environment and more importantly our future generations.
