Labour Day weekend is summer's last hurrah, so Team Greenwin is already looking ahead to fall. Specifically, we're curious about fun and inexpensive ways to bring that fall feeling indoors with some updated decor for your apartment. Here's a few ideas we found:

Candles - One of the easiest ways to make it feel like autumn in your apartment is to grab some richly scented candles. We love heading to Homesense to find some, as they often have a wide selection at deeply discounted prices. You can choose colours that are very fall-esque (such as orange and red) or choose scented candles that make you think of warmth and harvests - like pumpkin or apple cider.

Goodbye, Daylight - As the days get shorter, you'll want to find more creative ways to make your apartment brighter for longer. This can include the aforementioned candles (but make sure they are being watched at all times!) or some new lamps. You might also want to consider changing your lightbulbs - instead of a soft white, go for a clearer, brighter look.

Update Your Bed - Cooler fall nights mean you can get even cozier in your bed. Try a new bedspread that is heavier, like a down comforter. For your couch cushions, try a few new colours to keep things fresh.

DIY - Do you like to make things? Fall is a great time to start a new project. Head to your local craft store and pick up things that interest you. You can make a wreath for your front door, style your own votive candle holders or even begin an embroidery project. Perhaps you'll even want to stitch up your own quilt?

When In Doubt, Clean - Finally, everyone has heard of spring cleaning, but what about fall cleaning? Even if you can't purchase a bunch of new decor items, doing an apartment deep clean will help to keep your apartment fresh. Get your digs ready for the long winter ahead!
