The combined partnership between the Believe to Achieve Organization, Doorsteps Neighbourhood Services, Greenwin Inc. and The Oaks Revitalization Association will be launching a pilot project that will offer underserved youth in Ward 7 (The Oaks – 160, 170, 180 & 200 Chalkfarm Dr.) a safe haven where they can learn the skills necessary to overcoming adversity. 
  
The launch of the Spider's Web Youth Empowerment Initiative and TD Hoops basketball court was held on June 23, 2011 at 180 Chalkfarm Drive.
 
              
 
                    
 
         
 
The opening of the TD Hoops Basketball Court was attended by TD representative, David Bloomstone.  He also made the first throw on the court.

- Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti, Ward 7
 
A ribbon cutting ceremony on the court followed the speeches.
 
              
 
After this, all guests and members of the press made their way to 160 Chalkfarm Drive to Spider’s Web, following the music from local drummers.
 
              
 
Along the way, guests passed by the Black Creek conservation area and community gardens. 
 
         
 
    
 
At Spider’s Web, speeches were made from within the boxing ring and a ringing of the bell replaced a formal ribbon cutting.
