Create space. Don't be afraid to move things around for the evening! Rearrange furniture to make the dining area more spacious, put small appliances (such as blenders, toasters, or anything you won't be using that night) away for more space on the counter for all the delicious food you've prepared, and put objects such as ottomans to the side or in the bedroom.

Prepare for last minute RSVPs. You will definitely have more than enough food, so why not have some extra place settings out just in case one of your guests decides to bring a friend, or someone who could not attend decides to make a surprise appearance? Preparing for this in advance will make it easier for you if this does happen and allow you more time to take care of everything else you will be doing.

Don't be afraid to delegate. Allowing your guests to help out does not make you a bad host! Most people will offer to bring something anyway, so take them up on it. You can take care of the main items, but if someone wants to bring a dessert or an appetizer it will make all the difference during your preparation. A Thanksgiving trend (especially in smaller spaces) is having a potluck, where each guest brings a certain dish that everyone agrees on in advance.

Prep in advance for smooth sailing on the day of. Do as much as possible during the week leading up to Thanksgiving dinner. Clean your apartment, go over your guest list, buy snacks, prepare sleeping arrangements if you have guests staying with you, etc. The less you have to do on the day of, the better!

Drink Station. Setting up a drink station is a huge space-saver when hosting Thanksgiving at your apartment. Prepare glasses, drinks, and an ice bucket or two (for wine, champagne, and pop) at the drink station. This will give your guests something to do while you have the chance to put the finishing touches on your delicious food.

Stay calm. No matter how the preparation and the evening is going, having a positive attitude and keeping calm will ensure that you and your guests have a great time. After all, Thanksgiving is about coming together with your loved ones and making memories!
