On Sunday, our Greenwin Cares team met up with our friends at the 31 Division CPLC and the Black Community Consultative Committee to deliver another round of food boxes to families facing food insecurity in the Jane and Finch community. The food boxes contained organic produce grown right here in Toronto from Toronto Black Farmers and Growers Collective, an organization of local farmers, growers, small food business owners and food insecure people who are standing against food injustices in our city.
We are so honoured to be able to team up with the members of this community as they come together to create a welcome space for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. At a time when the importance of outreach and bringing people together is at an all-time high, we are so grateful to have partners in the communities that we serve that allow us to offer support to the people who need it most.
