This week, Greenwin Cares and the 31 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) kicked off our Laptops for Learning program by delivering the first round of refurbished laptops donated by Greenwin to families facing challenges with remote learning. The transition to virtual schooling is hard enough, but for those with limited access to functioning computers and technology, it can be an almost insurmountable challenge. We believe that every child has a right to education and are making it our mission to help make sure no one is left behind because of a lack of resources!

With Toronto-area schools entering another shutdown period, it's more important than ever to break down technological barriers that contribute to an unequal educational playing field. We are so excited to be able to help families in Toronto Housing priority neighbourhoods break down these barriers by providing them with top-quality refurbished laptops to call their own. Having access to a functioning computer will give these students the necessary access to continue their education from home and support them on their path to success.

Our Greenwin Cares team, along with the 31 Division CPLC, are proud to support our communities by continuing to provide laptops to families facing challenges with remote learning. To learn how you can help with this program or other Greenwin Cares initiatives, please contact LWong@greenwin.ca.
