On June 13th the Building Managers from District 2 met at 60 Gloucester for their bi-monthly District Meeting. This was the first time that all of the staff was able to see the new Social Room at the property. It is a converted unit that also houses our Managers office and the social room is available for our tenant events and private functions.

To start the day, the District Manager Lorelei, gave a presentation of administrative functions regarding the rental processes and understanding the availability listings. We moved onto a discussion regarding site staff uniforms and various ideas for the altering the current uniform.

Next, Dan McCabe, Vice President of Magical Pest Control gave the staff a presentation on bed bugs. Identifying problems, discussing treatments and dealing with the individual units, were topics of discussion. Dan was able to breakdown the treatments and the life cycle of the bed bug so that staff clearly understood the treatment schedule to assist our residents when the possibility of treatment arises. Magical Pest Control has been a great assistance to our sites in dealing with the many types of Pest Control issues arising in rental buildings.

Jeff from Trace Fire Protection, gave the Managers a presentation of fire protection protocol. Discussions ensued as to the functions of the annunciator panel and fire panels. Also discussed was the responsibility of the Managers during a fire alarm. This presentation enforced the significance of the duties of the Manager during a fire alarm. Thanks to Trace Protection for their assistance in updating our Managers.

Managers and presenters were invited to enjoy a lunch provided by Cups on Church, the newly renovated and re-organized restaurant at the corner of Church and Isabella. The salads and sandwiches were not only tasty but fresh and bountiful. Thanks to the new ownership for their quick response and on time delivery to our event.
