Every year, Santa makes a special delivery to the children of 25 San Romanoway. Over the past few months, Santa's elves at Greenwin have been hard at work collecting hundreds of toys so children of all ages can have an extra special holiday.

Greenwin CEO Kris Boyce, who was on hand at the event as Mrs. Claus, discussed the vital need for community initiatives that support families in need. "For many families, the holidays can cause added financial stress that can be overwhelming," said Boyce. "We hope this event will help relieve some of that stress, so that parents can really enjoy the holidays with their children."

Located at Jane and Finch, the San Romanoway community represents a priority neighbourhood for Greenwin. The annual toy drive is just one of the many ways Greenwin is making a difference, and seeing the smiles it brings to the children in the community – and their parents – makes it all worth it.

"These programs are necessary and they make a real difference; we've seen that first-hand," said Boyce. "Residents are happier, they're more engaged and they really take pride in their communities. As a landlord, that's what we strive for."

Other initiatives Greenwin supports in the San Romanoway community include mentoring programs, after school tutoring, nutrition education, seasonal camps and community revitalization.
