It is with great excitement that today we're celebrating the two winners of Greenwin's inaugural Harold Green Scholarship Award for 2014.
The two winners are Christian Felixandre O'Campo, who will be attending Sheridan College for Performing Arts Preparation in September 2014, and Melissa Eratostene, who will be attending the University of Toronto for Kinesiology/Physical Education in September 2014.
Mrs. Green presented the awards with the following heartwarming message:
"You are worthy recipients of the Harold Green Scholarship Award. Worthy, I know because I have read your applications and worthy because you embody Harold Green's principles and values; values of giving back to your country and making the world a better place to live in and values which he instilled in his children. Harold had a favourite excerpt from the Talmud. The Talmud is a collection of interpretations of the Bible. It goes like this: 'When I came into this world I did not find it desolate. As my Fathers planted for me, so shall I plant for my children.' It is with pride and pleasure that I places these scholarships in the very deserving hands of Greenwin's children.
Congratulations to our recipients! We look forward to watching you grow and thrive.
