Feeling some #tuesdayvibes... Overseeing partnerships for Greenwin Corp. has given me the opportunity to view our organization globally, as an ecosystem. It's so much more than development and property management.
For over 12 years, I've had the privilege to join discussions with our partners at Toronto Police Services (particularly 31 Division), government officials from the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels, business owners and community activists (hi, Spider Jones!). These are people who literally raise their hands to walk toward chaos and uncertainty. And they've accepted OUR team into the fold.
Thanks to their insight and feedback from the frontlines, our Greenwin Cares team (led by our incredible Lily Wong) is able to leverage information and build tailored, customized social programs that reach kids, youth, adults and seniors in our buildings who need and deserve support, resources and attention. It's this level of intense collaboration that builds safe homes and safe communities.
Last night, we met with all of these stakeholders to talk about how bright our city's future looks — but it takes strong partnerships to make it happen.
As a developer/property manager, we support programs like Make Your Future, Believe to Achieve, the San Romanoway Revitalization Association, and many more not just because it's good for our buildings. We do it because it's good for the communities we serve and, ultimately, the city as a whole. We can help redirect kids and break the cycle of poverty and gang violence — one building at a time.
There are so many transformative partnerships in the Greenwin Cares pipeline geared toward employment opportunities, job readiness training, athletic programming and more. 2021 is going to be an exciting year and we can't wait to share more with you.
