On May 9th, 2025, a meaningful gathering took place in the heart of the Jane and Finch community.
Project Safe Space, welcomed local youth for an evening dedicated to safety, learning and inclusion, reminding us all of the power of community-led care.
This initiative, in partnership with the Toronto Police Services 31 Division, created to provide a secure and affirming environment for 2SLGBTQ+ youth, goes beyond simply offering a place to gather. Each session introduces something new: from life skills workshops to opportunities for personal growth. At this month’s event, youth explored the foundations of financial independence through engaging literacy activities that sparked curiosity and confidence.
