As we approach Truth and Reconciliation Day, Greenwin is committed to fostering an environment that respects and honours the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples.

We recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing journey, and we are dedicated to taking meaningful steps toward this important cause.

WHAT WE'VE DONE SO FAR

To date, we have initiated educational programs and resources aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of Indigenous history and culture among our team and residents.

We welcomed Rhonda Lucy, a 2-Spirit filmmaker of Mohawk and Melungeon ancestry, at our office for an educational discussion. This engaging session allowed us to deepen our understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and the significance of reconciliation.

We've also supported local Indigenous businesses and organizations by purchasing and distributing orange shirts from Native Arts Society, an Indigenous owned community supporting houseless and incarcerated individuals. Proceeds from the orange shirts go to Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction to support survivors living on the street of Toronto.

With a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage and ancestral connections to the territories we live on, we are incorporating Indigenous perspectives, principles, and designs into our new developments.

TOGETHER, LET'S MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Your voice matters, and together, we can make a lasting impact. Let us all take this day to reflect, learn, and commit to the ongoing work of truth and reconciliation.
