Greenwin Cares’ Northern Birthday Box Project spreads joy to children in remote northern communities—primarily Indigenous—who have limited access to birthday treats and surprises.
This February, we’re thrilled to celebrate Jane, who turns 6 today, February 24!
Jane lives in Aklavik, a hamlet in the Inuvik Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. Historically, Aklavik has been a hub of the Western Arctic, where Gwich'in and Inuvialuit communities gathered for trade. Today, this small town of around 600 residents remains a vibrant and diverse community. Jane will be celebrating with a K-pop Demon Hunters–themed party, and her birthday box will be filled with chocolates, candies, cake mix, icing, and decorations to make her day truly unforgettable.
The Northern Birthday Box Project is about more than just gifts—it’s about connection, celebration, and community. Even in the most remote locations, children like Jane can feel remembered, celebrated, and truly special on their big day.
Bringing smiles, one birthday at a time!
