For the second year in a row, Greenwin’s Director, Communications, Jessica Green, led two panel discussions on RHBTV in honour of International Women’s Day. These discussions brought together industry professionals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives for engaging conversations on their experiences as women in the multi-family housing industry.

“I’m grateful to RHB, not just for entrusting me with this opportunity, but for providing us with the forum to have these very honest discussions,” Jess says. “If one person – no matter where they are in their career – takes one thing away from these episodes, we’ve done our job. I hope that we can keep doing this until I’ve sat across from every woman in the multi-family space who wants to speak.”

In the first of the 2023 discussions, she was joined by fellow Greenwin team member, Ossana Ber, Manager, Community Engagement, as well as other key females in the development, construction and property management industry including, Farnaz Ghafouri, Senior VP and Partner, Aquatics AI Services, Lucy Tao, Executive Vice-President & CFO, MetCap Living, Julie Rahier, Director, GH Capital, and returning for a second year, Atiya Khan, Senior Content Marketing Manager, Hazelview Properties.

Ossana explains, “It was such an honour to be at this table to share our stories, our common experiences, and all facets of our unique journeys. These conversations are timely, relevant, and imperative and I look forward to many more in the future.”

In the second panel, Jess joined Trish MacPherson, Partner, Alignvest Student Housing, Sarah Yusyp, Director of Human Resources, Skyline Living, Mosammat (Jebbie) Jabunnesa, Business Development Executive at Canadian Design and Construction Inc., and Vanessa Castiglione, Manager of Business Development at PAC Building Group.

From the meaning of International Women’s Day to initiatives organizations can take to support women throughout the year, these dynamic conversations broke down critical questions about gender equality/equity and the experiences of women in the workplace. The groups also shared their personal experiences and learnings on their journeys as women in the industry.
