At Greenwin, the holiday season is about more than celebration, it’s about showing up for our communities, strengthening connections, and supporting one another. This December, we were proud to be part of meaningful initiatives in our communities. At San Romanoway our Greenwin Cares team worked with incredible partners and volunteers to bring joy, comfort, and connection to residents.

Toronto Fire Fighters Toy Drive Brings Holiday Magic to SRRA

December 16, 2025

What an unforgettable day at the San Romanoway Revitalization Association (SRRA)! On December 16, the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive arrived with Santa and his elves, instantly filling the space with excitement, laughter, and holiday cheer. Volunteers delivered backpacks filled with toys, clothing, and essential items, helping ensure families felt supported during what has been an especially challenging year.

We continue to see growing need across the community, with more families than ever reaching out for support. Moments like this remind us why community partnerships matter so deeply. Greenwin is grateful to stand alongside the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive, RPMS, and SRRA to help bring joy to children and peace of mind to families during the holidays.

A special highlight was seeing Lily W., Director, Greenwin Cares and Executive Director, SRRA, join Global News for a live broadcast from Shops at Don Mills with Susan Hay and Chief Meteorologist Anthony Farnell, sharing the importance of giving back and supporting families in need.

To the donors, volunteers, and firefighters who made this day possible, thank you for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to our community. You truly made the holidays brighter for so many children.

25 San Romanoway Holiday Social & Gifts

December 16, 2025

That same day, the lobby at 25 San Romanoway was transformed into a warm and welcoming space for a festive holiday social. Residents gathered to enjoy sweet treats, hot chocolate, and meaningful conversations, creating a moment of togetherness during the busy holiday season.

Thanks to the generosity of Greenwin team, who donated new, unwrapped toys and fundraised to purchase even more, we were able to provide gifts for the children in the building. Seeing their smiles and excitement was a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share joy, connection, and a little holiday magic with the residents who call this community home.

SRRA Seniors Holiday Lunch

December 18, 2025

On December 18, Greenwin was honoured to take part in SRRA’s Seniors Holiday Lunch, a beautiful afternoon dedicated to celebrating the seniors who are truly the backbone of the Jane and Finch community.

The SRRA team prepared a delicious homemade meal featuring curry goat, BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, rice and peas, and more – including Melissa’s famous Moroccan chicken. Our Community Project Specialist, Melissa, also led a lively trivia game complete with prizes, filling the room with laughter, friendly competition, and cheer.

Spending time with our seniors, listening to their stories, sharing laughs, and celebrating together, was the highlight of our day. Their wisdom, resilience, and warmth continue to inspire everything we do.

Thank you to TPS 31 Division NCOs, the incredible SRRA team, volunteers, and most importantly, our seniors, for making this gathering so special.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to showing up, listening, and continuing to build stronger, more connected communities — not just during the holidays, but all year long.
