The Maccabiah Games are an international Jewish and Israeli multi-sport event and are held quadrennially in Israel. Greenwin’s President & CEO, Kevin Green, who is also the International Chair for the Israel Tennis & Education Centers (ITEC) participated in this year’s games for his sixth time.
Kevin was interviewed by The Media Line along with fellow Canadian businessmen, Anton Rabie and Leonard Aspen, who all participated in the Games. Each interviewee shared their connection with Israel and their love for the Maccabiah Games.
For Kevin, the meaning of the Maccabiah Games is similar to ITEC’s philosophy. At their core, both are about creating connections through the participation of sport. “The main attraction for children is the friendships, and sports are a great way to build friendships”, Kevin says.
Kevin spoke on the importance of Israel for him, expressing that ITEC is spread across 18 Tennis Centers throughout Israel. Collectively, around 7000 children participate at these Centers, which are designed to help those who are in need of a community. “We’re helping brothers and sisters create a better Israel. That’s how we feel”, Kevin stated.
