#MyGreenwinLife is a series that highlights individual members of the Greenwin team by exploring their unique journeys, which have led them to become valued members of our company. Through the inspiring stories, memories and experiences of our people, we celebrate the connection and sense of community that is the backbone of our organization.

Today, we share the story of Tenzing Tsepak, Senior Property Manager:

I started as a Site Coordinator at Greenwin in 2016. With my previous experience in building administration, I quickly grasped onto the culture and eventually got promoted to Property Manager at the end of 2017. When I first moved into the Property Manager role, I was assigned a portfolio of 232 units. Today, I manage one of our largest third-party client portfolios with more than 1500 units. I knew that this transition was going to be challenging. But with the strong support system I have at Greenwin, I was able to adapt to the new buildings in no time.

There are always opportunities to grow and learn at Greenwin. I’m currently enrolled as a member of Institute of Housing Management, in pursuit of the AIHM designation. This course has helped me understand the core principles of residential construction. Through the program, I have expanded my knowledge of the mechanical and construction elements of a building, which I wasn’t previously exposed to.

Each day is different than the last and with that comes opportunities to learn and grow from one another. I am constantly learning something new each day, which I am extremely grateful for as it exposes me to the many different areas of property management. The certainty of knowing that I have all the resources that I need, as well as the exciting ever-changing nature of the work, is what drives me every day.

I have always been amazed by how approachable everyone is at Greenwin, regardless of your title or team, everyone welcomes you with open arms. Throughout the company, everyone shares a collaborative nature in achieving success and working towards our common goals as a team. This makes it so easy to share ideas and work collaboratively.

I appreciate that Greenwin is always looking for ways to modernize its systems and make overall operations more efficient. When I first started, there was already a huge emphasis on being eco-friendly and reducing paper use in the office. With the integration of our MyGreenwin online portal, SharePoint, and other digital tools, it has completely changed the game. The cloud-based system has not only helped in reducing paper waste, but it has also played a crucial role in optimizing the filing system. Since everyone was already accustomed to the online system, it was really easy to fully transition to working from home when the pandemic first hit. With the help of our amazing IT department, Microsoft Teams was quickly integrated on every system, which has made it easy to communicate with everyone while working remotely.

Greenwin truly shows it cares through all the various types of Greenwin Cares community initiatives that it runs. I have had the pleasure of participating in many of these projects and events such as the annual toy drive event and community garden projects at the buildings that I oversee. I have seen first-hand how time and time again, these initiatives demonstrate the power and influence of building a strong community.
