In efforts to combat food insecurity in the city, our Greenwin Cares team has been working non-stop to provide food boxes, full of fresh produce, to thousands of residents in underserved Toronto areas throughout the entire pandemic.
As part of these efforts, we were in the Chalkfarm community last week with Unison Health and Community Services to host a Free Community Green Market & Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic at Greenwin’s 180 Chalkfarm Dr. property. We are proud to share that over 1,000 bags of fresh produce were handed out, while the community collected their free PPE kits, and those who needed the COVID-19 vaccine received it.
We look forward to collaborating with additional healthcare providers and community partners to continue to bring more fresh food, COVID-19 vaccines and support to the high-priority neighbourhoods where we operate.
