Job Description

Summary: Greenwin is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead the end-to-end delivery of payroll for a diverse workforce. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys ownership of their function, driving process improvements, and partnering with HR and Finance to support business operations.

In this role, you will oversee full-cycle payroll processing, ensure legislative compliance, enhance payroll systems and reporting, and act as the organization’s payroll subject matter expert. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

What You'll Get To Do:

Payroll Leadership & Operations

  • Lead the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for unionized and non-unionized employees
  • Oversee all payroll components including earnings, overtime, commissions, deductions, and off-cycle payments
  • Ensure accurate statutory remittances including CPP, EI, EHT, and WSIB
  • Manage payroll reconciliations and labour cost tracking

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation and collective agreements
  • Oversee payroll reporting, tax filings, and year-end activities
  • Maintain strong controls and audit-ready payroll documentation
  • Systems & Continuous Improvement
  • Act as the Dayforce (or equivalent HRIS) payroll expert
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and efficiencies
  • Troubleshoot complex payroll issues and recommend solutions

Partnership & Impact

  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to support business needs
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll matters
  • Support payroll budgeting, forecasting, and reporting initiatives

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a high-volume environment (500+ employees preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation
  • Experience with Dayforce or a comparable HRIS system
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
  • PCP designation preferred (CPM is an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
