Summary: The Maintenance Manager will develop and implement technical and preventative maintenance plans for buildings by leading the efficiency of all operational activities within the technical services department.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 plus car monthly car allowance
What you’ll get to do:
- Perform site inspections, develop reports and improvement plans for managed properties.
- Responsible for resolving all outstanding open work orders that exceed 30 days.
- Recommend solutions to help move the work orders item(s) towards resolution with the Property Managers and Directors.
- Supervise department team members to perform accurate general, routine maintenance, minor repairs, fire safety, and scheduled servicing operations in accordance with health & safety.
- Provide new team members with training including but not limited to fire, life & health & safety.
- Provide annually updated training as needed to all site staff as the need arises.
- Assist with annual fire safety plan reviews, quarterly fire drills and elevator testing.
- Lead and assist in the process of obtaining/renewing new fire and other certificates, contracts, and services.
- Schedule walk throughs of the properties to ensure compliance and report deficiencies.
- Coordinate and support the operations division across all functions.
Who You Are:
- College Diploma
- 5+ years’ experience in maintenance and repair, high rise building mechanical systems.
- 3+ years’ experience in property/facility maintenance field
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Health and Safety including WHMIS
- Must be flexible with working evenings, weekends, and on-call schedule as per needed.
- Strong multi-tasking, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively coordinated with varies stakeholders.
- BES II Certification an asset
- Ability to travel to multiple sites – must possess valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
