Last week, Spin Master (www.spinmaster.com), Toronto Professional Fire Fighters' Association (www.torontofirefighters.org) and TransGlobe Property Management (www.gotransglobe.com) came together in support of Greenwin's registered charities by providing thousands of toys, personal care products and computers for parents, youth and children in need this holiday season.

"We're overwhelmed by the generosity of these three groups," says Lily Wong, Greenwin's Assistant Director of Social Programming. "This is the first holiday season in Canada for many families living in rental buildings in Greenwin's priority neighbourhoods and we wanted to make it special. The fact that these associations have come through the way they have says 'welcome' in the most heart-warming, genuine way."

Donations of toys for children of all ages from Spin Master and Toronto Professional Fire Fighters' Association include extensive selections from an array of brands including Bakugan (www.bakugan.com), Pop On Pals (www.poponpals.com), Mighty Beanz (www.mightybeanz.com), Flick Trix (www.flicktrix.com), Moon Dough (www.moondough.com), Zoobles (www.zoobles.com), Liv World (www.livworld.com), Air Hogs (www.airhogs.com) and much, much more!

They will be distributed among registered charities located on Greenwin rental properties such as The Oaks Revitalization Association, The San Romanoway Revitalization Association and Doorsteps Neighbourhood Services as well as the Tiny Tots daycare at The City of Toronto's Chalkfarm Community Centre. Additional recipients include single parents and their children, who will take home an array of goodies at this year's York University Single Parents' holiday benefit, taking place on December 11, 2010.

In support of continuing education for future community leaders in the Jane-Wilson neighbourhood, many computers donated by TransGlobe Property Management will find a home with Doorsteps Neighbourhood Services, who focus on community education, prevention and individual/community resiliency in the Jane-Wilson neighbourhood.

"This equipment has been so well-received by the youth at Doorsteps," says Morris Beckford, Executive Director of Doorsteps Neighbourhood Services. "The contribution will have an incredible impact on our youth lounge and resource centre. We're all so grateful to have been acknowledged with this magnitude of generosity."

Janos Csepreghi, Executive Officer of Toronto Professional Fire Fighters' Association, adds, "Donating to the organizations supported by Greenwin was an easy decision for us. Their involvement in the community, particularly at Jane-Finch and Jane-Wilson, has had such an impact over the years. We know their team will ensure that every last item will be placed in the hands of those who need it most."
