The Believe to Achieve Foundation, Doorsteps Neighbourhood Services, Literature for Life, Greenwin Inc. and The Oaks Revitalization Association will be launching Spider’s Web Youth Empowerment Initiative. Spider’s Web is a pilot project that will offer the youth in Ward 7 (The Oaks – 160, 170, 180 & 200 Chalkfarm Dr.) a safe haven where they can learn the skills necessary to overcoming adversity.

Program Hours
Spider’s Web will be offered as an after-school program from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Program Components
- Boxing and mentorship workshop
- Computer training and drop-in computer room
- Literacy program and library
Goals are to foster coordination skills, social skills, respect, honesty, courage, fair play, leadership skills, problem-solving, decision-making, motivation and the virtues of activity over inactivity and teamwork over crime.
