Yesterday it was announced by the Jewish National Fund of Canada (JNF), that one of the largest, most prestigious annual events on the Canadian Jewish landscape will honour Joseph Frieberg and our very own Kevin Green this year, for their relentless efforts and philanthropy in support of the State of Israel.

Essentially, anywhere from 800-1500 people will attend a dinner in Toronto on November 22, 2015, that will be the culmination of a major JNF fundraising campaign that will kick off within 45 days.

The funds raised will benefit the Israel Tennis Centers Foundation.  The decision has been made to allocate these funds to a capital expansion of the Samson Israel Tennis Center in Beer Sheva; a city in the south of Israel currently experiencing dramatic population increase, and fraught with socio-economic challenge. The Israel Tennis Center in Beer Sheva hosts every program category offered by the ITC; co-existence, special needs, Ethiopian support and children-at-risk, and is currently bursting at the seams.

To give you an idea of the magnitude of this honour, the 2013 JNF Negev Dinner honouree was Prime Minister Stephen Harper. The annual Negev dinner in Toronto typically generates donations in the range of $3M - $6M. In recognition of yesterday's announcement, Joe, Kevin and their wives have been invited to dine at 24 Sussex Drive in June (Canada's White House).

The next few months will be busy for the ITC Foundation Canada as we are in high gear working on our 3 major summer events (Exhibition, Golf Tournament and ProAm), and have commenced active plan development for the Beer Sheva expansion, along with plans to provide JNF campaign support.

Massive Greenwin congratulations!
