St. Catharines Apartments
St. Catharines is often called “The Garden City” for its 1,000 acres of lush, verdant parks, gardens and trails. Its Montobello Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, and features a garden with more than 1300 rose bushes. The park also hosts free outdoor concerts throughout the summer. Bird watchers flock to Happy Rolph’s Bird Sanctuary on the shores of Lake Ontario. Residents enjoy picnics, and take advantage of the numerous public parks and their facilities like cycling trails, pools, tennis courts, soccer pitches and playgrounds. The city enjoys a large student population with Brock University, satellite campuses of McMaster University and Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology as well as Ridley College calling St. Catharines home. This rich student culture has contributed to a bustling downtown of bookstores, coffeehouses, nightclubs, fashion boutiques and restaurants.
